Eupen Royal Tennis Club (5 minutes' walk)

Since its foundation in 1932, the tennis club has been open to everyone. Children, teenagers, adults and seniors can choose from a wide range of activities: Interclub, tournaments, singles or doubles in groups of friends, training, holiday camps, wheelchair tennis, squash and fitness!

Our clubhouses, one on the summer side with a large terrace and our winter clubhouse, are very important in terms of the ‘welcoming culture’. Both are run very competently and with great dedication by Michèle and Jean-Claude and are a great place to socialise.

Bikepark Eupen (5 minutes' walk)

The Bike Park is a 700 metre long downhill course with three downhill trails. It is open to all cyclists at all times. But the bike park also has its rules: There are three regulation boards along the routes, for example motorised vehicles are prohibited.

Special attention has been paid to the diversity of use of the bike park. There are different routes with different levels of difficulty, and the bike park is intended to ‘give both motivated beginners and enthusiastic pros the opportunity to demonstrate and improve their mountain bike and BMX skills’.

The Ochsenalm mountain bike trail is free to use. The track was built with the support of the German-speaking community, the Eupen Cycling Club, the Eupen Sports Federation and mountain bikers from other clubs in the Hütte district. Pierre-Charles Thomas from Xhoffraix was one of the first riders to test the track. The world elite trail biker praised the versatility of the route.

Hautes Fagnes (10 minutes by car)

The Hautes Fagnes have been a protected area since 1957. This makes the 5,000 hectare plateau not only the oldest nature reserve in Wallonia, but also the most famous nature reserve in Belgium and the jewel in the crown of the German-Belgian Hautes Fagnes – Eifel Nature Park. Year after year, tourist highlights such as the Signal du Botrange, the highest point and roof of Belgium, or the Baraque Michel, rich in history, attract young and old to the Hautes Fagnes.

And there is much more to discover! 67,000 hectares of forest and moorland make up the Hautes Fagnes-Eifel, where some of the most famous prehistoric sites and small nature reserves often outshine their more famous siblings in terms of natural beauty, legendary fascination or ecological value.
